Premium AI translation, verified and honed by a native translator
The right balance between volume, turnaround time and quality
Some projects, such as an editorial, a brand book, or a marketing presentation require fully human translation. And then there are projects where you need 100 product descriptions translated into six languages in one week. These different requirements call for different approaches.
How Post-Editing Works at OuiTranslate
We use AI-powered translation to produce a first draft. A professional native translator who specialises in your sector then thoroughly reviews it: they correct, rephrase and verify the terminology using your glossaries until the text aligns with your brand.
This method allows you to process up to twice as many words per day as with traditional translation without compromising on quality — an invaluable advantage when dealing with large volumes or tight deadlines.
Two levels of post-editing to suit your needs
Not all content requires the same level of polish. We therefore distinguish between two levels of post-editing. Your project manager will help you choose the right level based on the content and its intended use.
Light post-editing is suited to informational or internal-use content: the translator ensures that the meaning is accurate, that the terminology is correct and that there are no factual errors. Style is corrected where necessary, but the goal is not editorial perfection.
Full post-editing is applied to content intended for publication. The translator thoroughly revises the text to achieve a result that closely resembles a traditional human translation, with careful attention paid to style, fluency and consistency with your brand voice.
“Thanks a lot for your work, the quality is getting better every time!”

What content is post-editing suited to?
This approach works particularly well for high-volume, factual or repetitive content. Our clients regularly use it for product and technical descriptions, terms and conditions of sale, e-commerce catalogues and internal training materials.
Post-editing is however not the right solution for marketing claims, press kits, or creative campaigns. This content requires a creative process that falls under transcreation. And that is precisely the role of your project manager: to guide you toward the right approach.
What we do that AI cannot
Precise, customised checks
These days, anyone can have a text translated by AI. The difference is what happens next. An AI engine alone will not check that the terminology used complies with your glossary, will not flag that a cosmetic claim is prohibited in a particular market, and will not ensure that the tone aligns with your editorial guidelines.
Your brand as a benchmark
At OuiTranslate, the human translator who post-edits your text specialises in luxury and beauty. They work with your reference files, translation memories and glossaries. They know what works and what doesn’t in your industry. It is this combination of AI speed and human expertise that makes the method effective.
Continuous adaptation to your needs
If, during the process, your project manager identifies content that would benefit from a fully human translation or transcreation, they will let you know. The goal is not to post-edit everything, but to ensure that each piece of content receives the right treatment. Some of our clients combine all three approaches in a single project, and this is often the most effective option.
Case Study — AI post-editing and website translation: weighing two options for Sothys
Étude de cas
When the Sothys Group contacted OuiTranslate to have its website translated into UK English, the initial request did not indicate which process should be used. The agency began by presenting two cost estimates: traditional human translation or AI-assisted post-editing, since the content of the texts to be translated could suit either approach. After analysing the quality, turnaround time and budget, the decision was made to select AI-assisted post-editing, with 5,000 words to be delivered within three business days.
The content covered all of the group’s web pages: history, brand and business line overview and legal notices. To ensure terminological consistency with previous projects, post-editing was handled by the native translator who usually handles Sothys translations in Phrase TMS, and the text was then proofread by the English-speaking project manager.
The service also included a linguistic, typographical and terminological quality check, along with verification of brief compliance. The final version was returned directly in the original Word file.
Languages we support for post-editing
We work with a wide variety of content formats.
We provide services in all the European languages (English, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, etc.) as well as in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, other Asian languages and Arabic. We work with all language combinations. Our post-editors in all languages are native speakers who specialise in luxury and beauty. This is a non-negotiable standard for us, regardless of the post-editing level selected.
Our other services
Depending on the nature of your content, other approaches may be more appropriate.
Content that requires the highest level of editorial quality is best suited to 100% specialised human translation. For slogans and creative campaigns, transcreation is key. And if you’re looking to centralise multilingual DTP, subtitling, and SEO copywriting, our complementary language services have you covered.
